As your giveaway starts receiving entries, we immediately begin populating data that we think you’ll find useful. This includes user data, all the entries that have been received, email subscriber information and giveaway analytics.
We also support exporting of data to a CSV file which you can then import elsewhere, or populate into a spreadsheet using platforms such as Google Sheets.
Viewing Data
To view User, Entries and Subscribers data for your giveaway, head to the Giveaway Overview page of the giveaway you wish to view within the Manage section.
Users
Once your giveaway starts receiving entries, we populate user information into an easy grid for your convenience. Within the grid, we display the following information:
- Who: Who the user is, including their First/Last name and/or display name, depending on what they provided and the entries they completed
- Email: The email address the entrant provided. We either collected this from one of their connected social media profiles, or they provided their email address when completing an entry step
- Country: Where the user is located. We use an external platform known as Cloudflare to detect and populate location information
- Socials: Any social media profiles they have linked to their GiveLab profile
- Actions: The total number of entry steps they completed within your giveaway
- When: The date/time the user last completed an entry step on your giveaway
Entries
Once your giveaway starts receiving entries, we populate entry information into an easy grid for your convenience. Within the grid, we display the following information:
- Who: Who the user is, including their First/Last name and/or display name, depending on what they provided and the entries they completed
- What: The title of the entry step the user completed, alongside any information that might be helpful – for example the Twitter username they followed from, or the answer they provided to a “Ask a Question” step
- Where: Where the user is located. We use an external platform known as Cloudflare to detect and populate location information
- Worth: How many entries the user received by completing the entry step
- When: The date/time the user completed the entry step on your giveaway
- Actions: Actions you can perform for this specific entry step – for example: Revoke the entry
Subscribers
Once your giveaway starts receiving entries, we populate subscriber information into an easy grid for your convenience. Subscribers are users who have completed the “Subscribe to Newsletter” entry step with your giveaway. Within the grid, we display the following information:
- Who: Who the user is, including their First/Last name and/or display name, depending on what they provided and the entries they completed
- Email: The email address the entrant provided. This is the email address the user entered when completing the “Subscribe to Newsletter” step
- Country: Where the user is located. We use an external platform known as Cloudflare to detect and populate location information
- Socials: Any social media profiles they have linked to their GiveLab profile
- Actions: The total number of entry steps they completed within your giveaway
- When: The date/time the user completed the entry step on your giveaway
Exporting Data
You can export user, entries and subscriber information for your giveaways into a CSV file at any time. At the top right corner of the data grid within the Users, Entries and Subscribers section, you will have an “Export CSV” option:
Within Entries data, you can also filter the data results before entering. The dropdown at the top of the data grid will display a full list of each entry step within your giveaway. You can select 1 or multiple entry steps, and then export only the selected data.
