Add to WordPress

You have multiple options when adding the giveaway widget to a WordPress website. You can either embed the giveaway within a page, a post, or you can add your own custom implementation – for example through a pop-up plugin.

Embedding in WordPress

First, you’ll need to get your embed code which you can find within your Giveaway Overview. Head to GiveLab Manage > Manage Giveaways > Select the Giveaway you wish to embed.

You’ll see an embed code box containing code which looks something like this:

<a class=”e-widget” href=”https://giv.gg/dWNG5x” rel=”nofollow”>View Giveaway</a>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”https://givelab.com/js/e.js” async=”true”></script>

When writing a blog post or creating a page in WordPress, you have both a “Visual” and “Text” version of the text input box. To make sure your embed code works properly, you will first need to temporarily switch to the “Text” view as pictured below, and paste your embed code:

Once you have pasted the embed code, you can switch back to the “Visual” editor and continue writing your post.

Please note: The giveaway widget will not appear correctly within the Visual editor, however once you publish your post and view on the frontend website, it will load the widget correctly.
